
Senior QA Engineer
Sensys Gatso Software is in search of a highly skilled and self-motivated Senior QA Engineer with expertise in automation for our Puls team. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Puls, our advanced traffic enforcement solutions data analytics platform. Puls takes data from the sensors as input and applies a variety of algorithms to identify events of interest in real time. It combines static sources such as a local license plate blacklist with dynamic data sources through an open and extensible API. Puls is available 24/7, from detecting violations to identifying stolen vehicles. It ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all evidence data by encrypting information before transfer or storage using proven cryptography. Puls ensures compliance with government policies and regulations, and implemented policies are enforced through Puls.
This position presents exciting opportunities to work on projects that directly impact safety and operational efficiency in cities worldwide. You will be required to work from the Amsterdam office for a minimum of two days every week, and for certain projects, close collaboration with the team in Haarlem may be necessary.
The Job
- Develop and meticulously maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for our software solutions, guaranteeing thorough test coverage.
- Execute comprehensive manual testing protocols to pinpoint defects, incongruities, and functional anomalies.
- Record and systematically monitor defects using established tools and methodologies, fostering close collaboration with development teams to expedite effective resolutions.
- Identify prospects to refine testing processes, institute industry best practices, and actively contribute to the overall elevation of product quality.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including developers and product managers, to delineate system requirements.
- Assure the seamless fusion of disparate software components, encompassing Puls, Flux, Xilium, and other proprietary solutions.
Qualifications and skills
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- An advanced level of Dutch is required.
- Demonstrate a track record as a QA Engineer with a focus on automated testing.
- Exhibit a strong command of software testing methodologies and industry best practices.
- Display proficiency in automation tools like Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent.
- Prior exposure to contract testing is considered an asset.
- A background in traffic enforcement or analytics software is a valuable asset.
- Exhibit exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with performance testing and load testing tools is advantageous.
- Possess robust communication and collaboration competencies.
